We came up with the perfect game to drive social media engagement for Currys in the run-up to Easter, brought to life by those clever bunnies in our photography and video department.
Easter’s the perfect time for brands to deliver some cracking content on social media, and Currys were looking to find a way to do just that, while keeping the focus on their tech experts (or egg-sperts).
Team ITG came up with a number of ideas for the campaign, along with detailed strategies showcasing how they could be translated into compelling social content – and ‘Easter Egg Sweep’ was born!
This gameshow-style quiz would see six Currys colleagues split into teams of two, with one member of each team answering tech-led questions against the clock, in order to win extra time for the other to complete their sweep of the store and locate the carefully hidden eggs.
This was a huge shoot which involved 10 GoPro cameras placed around the store, two Team ITG camera operators and a sound engineer. We worked through all the footage and split it into four different videos to be posted to the brand’s social media pages, with customers invited to comment on who they thought would win for the chance to take home £500 of Currys vouchers!
There has been some fantastic engagement already on social media and Currys were egg-stremely pleased with our work, with Ryan Todd, Senior Social Media & PR Manager, saying, “Team ITG have really pushed the boat out on our #EasterEggSweep campaign, producing exciting social-led content in a retail space, which can be difficult to achieve! Bringing that colleague personality and expertise to life in engaging video form really nails the strategy for Currys on social.”
